The Avengers, But Better

From a website called "How It Should Have Ended", a new ending to the Avenger movie that includes Batman and Superman at the restaurant. Best lines:  "Captainball!" and "Say 'What' again."

You can see endings for other movies at their website.

On another movie note, we went to see "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" this week and enjoyed it very much. It is not often that the wrinkly set are the stars of a movie. It is directed by John Madden, who also directed "Shakespeare in Love."

I especially love Bill Nighy, the aging rocker from "Love Actually" who plays a hen-pecked but very life affirming senior citizen husband.  If you haven't seen it, I recommend it strongly if you are looking for a smaller movie with a lot of funny, happy moments. Amidst the Avengers and Batman loud blockbuster action movies, there are a number of quieter movies that look to be very enjoyable this summer. Next up for us is "Moonrise Kingdom" by Wes Anderson, who did "The Fantastic Mr. Fox" and "The Royal Tenenbaums". Unfortunately, as an independent movie it is not playing in too many theaters, so we may have to schedule a trip to Chicago to the Landmark Theater to see it. We'll let you know how it turns out.
